European Commission opens GPAI guidelines consultation

The European Commission has launched a consultation to clarify the scope of the rules for general-purpose AI models (GPAI) under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). The aim of the consultation is to support the development of GPAI guidelines. The consultation is based on a working document by the AI Office. The consultation closes on 22 May 2025.
