The European Commission has launched a consultation to collect feedback on its proposed EU Kids Act. Adopted in September, the proposed law aims to improve child safety across the EU by establishing safety-by-design standards, privacy-preserving age assurance systems, a social media delay, and robust enforcement mechanisms. The consultation is seeking contributions from children, parents, guardians, teachers, educators, and regulated online platforms. It aims to expand an established evidence base that informed the initial proposal.

The consultation closes on 26 November.
