The European Commission has published three studies examining technical solutions for marking and detecting AI-generated content across text, audio, and image or video. Commissioned to support the development of the Code of Practice on the marking and labelling of artificial intelligence-generated content, these research papers focus on the requirements outlined in Article 50 of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act)

Each study evaluates existing and emerging technical solutions, assessing their potential effectiveness, inherent limitations, and practical applicability. By analysing the different approaches, the research aims to provide a robust, evidence-based technical framework.
