EU Commission launches AI Act whistleblower tool
24/11/2025 | European Commission
The European Commission has launched a new whistleblower tool to provide a secure, confidential channel for individuals to report suspected breaches of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). The tool enables people to inform the EU AI Office directly about breaches that may threaten fundamental rights, public health, or public trust. The highest level of confidentiality and data protection are guaranteed through certified encryption mechanisms. The system also enables secure follow-up, allowing whistleblowers to receive updates and respond to additional questions from the AI Office without compromising their anonymity. The tool is intended for reporting potential violations of the AI Act that could endanger fundamental rights, health, or public trust.
