Vestager talks data sharing, Data Governance Act and GDPR enforcement

In a recent interview with Euronews, European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager has been discussing data sharing in the EU, the Data Governance Act and enforcement of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. "I think one of the reasons why (businesses) are reluctant to share data is that it's, you know, they're always being told that they're sitting on gold," Vestager said. "They may not really use it, but if they're sitting on gold, then why share it? I think there is a lack of legal clarity, but also contractual clarity."
