Meta only made limited changes to Consent or Pay models despite €200m DMA fine

The European Commission announced on Friday that Meta has implemented only limited changes to its Consent or Pay subscription model since being issued a €200 million fine under the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in April. A Commission spokesperson could not confirm whether Meta's recent changes to wording and design flow are sufficient. With the deadline now passed, Meta risks daily fines from 27 June if it remains non-compliant. The Commission is considering its next steps.
