MEPs divided over EU AI Act's prohibited practices

The European Parliament reached an agreement on several proposed provisions in the EU Artificial Intelligence Act during a meeting on 13 April. The areas settled in the meeting include provisions for high-risk categorisation along with governance and enforcement. Still outstanding is the politically sensitive issue of prohibited practices that are considered an unacceptable risk. Parliament will meet on 26 April for a committee vote.
