EU proposes limited use of personal data in targeted political ads

Draft legislation from the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs proposes new limits on how online platforms can collect and use personal data for political advertising campaigns. If passed, the legislation is expected to be in place in time for the European Parliament elections in 2024.
