EU AI Act should prevent serious incidents, require reporting

Irish Council for Civil Liberties Technology Fellow Kris Shrishak has written an op-ed for EURACTIV, in which he said the EU Artificial Intelligence Act should aim to prevent serious AI incidents and require reporting and recoding near misses incidents. Reporting on near-miss incidents within the publicly accessible EU AI database that is to be set up by the European Commission will enable AI systems operators to learn from others and make AI systems safer.
