Council of the EU introduces CSAM compromise text

The Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union has shared the first set of compromise text for a draft law aimed at preventing the spread of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online. The regulation focuses on risk assessment and mitigation measures rather than the more controversial aspects of the legislation. The Spanish presidency aims to reach an EU Council position on the issue by 28 September.
