EU Parliament approves Digital Markets Act text

The European Parliament has approved the text for the Digital Markets Act and will now negotiate the final passage with the Council of the European Union. This will take place under the French presidency of the Council during the first semester of 2022. The EU Parliament voted 642-8 in favour of the text, including "requirements on the use of data for targeted or micro-targeted advertising and the interoperability of services."
