The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) has published an update to its National Capabilities Assessment Framework (NCAF). Version 2.0 of the NCAF is designed to support member states in developing and adapting their national cybersecurity strategies to address an intensifying threat landscape and an evolving legislative environment. While all member states have possessed such strategies since 2017, ENISA notes that creating comprehensive versions remains a complex challenge.
The updated framework enables member states to perform self-assessments concerning the maturity of their strategic objectives. The initiative aims to provide practical support in building robust defences, ultimately strengthening the EU's collective cybersecurity posture.
Training Announcement: The BCS Foundation Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP) is an entry-level programme aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and Cyber Essentials that examines the fundamental concepts, technologies and principles of information security management.
