EDPS speaks on state of biometrics in the EU

European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski has discussed the state of biometrics within the European Union during his keynote speech at the annual Biometrics Institute Congress. Among his remarks, Wiewiórowski spoke about the increase in the amount of biometric data processing, as well as the importance of establishing trust for the public to feel comfortable with biometric data processing.
