EDPS publishes data protection guidance for co-legislators

European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) Wojciech Wiewiórowski has published new co-legislator guidance on maintaining the fundamental rights to privacy and data protection when drafting new legislative proposals. The guidance includes "a checklist of items that the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council should take into account to both meet a given legislation's objectives, whilst maintaining a high standard of personal data protection for its citizens."
