EDPS opens two investigations into EU bodies

The European Data Protection Supervisor has opened two investigations into the European Commission and European Parliament over their use of cloud computing services provided by Amazon and Microsoft due to concerns about the transfer of personal data to the US. Wojciech Wiewiórowski, EDPS, said: “We identified certain types of contracts that require particular attention and this is why we have decided to launch these two investigations."
