The European Data Protection Supervisor has his voice in support of the European Commission's proposed AI regulations. EDPS Wojciech Wiewiórowski said the agency "stands ready to fulfil its new role as the AI regulator for the EU public administration." While the EDPS backs the proposed regulations, it once again reiterated its call for a temporary ban on the use of remote biometric identification systems in public areas.
