EDPB to work with AI Office on new GDPR and AI Act interplay guidelines

During its April plenary session, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) adopted new guidelines concerning the processing of personal data with blockchain technologies. The EDPB has opened a public consultation on the blockchain guidelines, responses must be submitted by 9 June 2025.
The EDPB confirmed that it will work with the AI Office to draft new guidelines on the crossover between the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act).
