EDPB publishes 2025 annual report

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has published its 2025 annual report. The report highlights the board's work throughout the year, including efforts to simplify regulatory burdens, support economic growth, and strengthen cross-regulatory cooperation.
EDPB Chair Anu Talus remarked that the "rapid expansion of the EU's digital regulatory framework has added complexity to the data protection ecosystem." Talus added that the EDPB had "focused on enhancing legal certainty, making compliance more achievable in practice, and strengthening cooperation, both among Data Protection Authorities and with other regulators."
