EDPB letter to ECJ asking for consistency in AI liability rules

Andrea Jelinek, chairwoman of the European Data Protection Board, wrote a letter to European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders about adapting liability rules in the digital age and for artificial intelligence. The letter urged consistency in the EU’s legal framework for data protection, especially when it comes to the security of personal data processing and the use of AI systems to comply with this obligation.
