EDPB launches new reserve list of candidates for Support Pool of Experts

28/11/2025 | EDPB

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has launched a call for expressions of interest to establish a new reserve list for its Support Pool of Experts (SPE) programme. The objective is to recruit a reserve list of legal and technical experts to aid the EDPB’s work.

Legal expertise sought covers a wide range of fields, including data protection, competition, cybersecurity, and healthcare. Technical expertise is needed in areas such as IT auditing, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), cryptology, and behavioural advertising. The call is open until August 2030 and encourages experts from the first SPE list, which is due to expire in February 2026, to reapply.

Training Announcement: Freevacy offers a range of independent data protection qualifications from IAPP and BCS. Our certified courses are available at foundation and practitioner levels and cover multiple legal jurisdictions, data protection operations management, and the implementation of complex privacy solutions in technical environments. Find out more.
