EDPB adopts reports on first coordinated enforcement, cookie banners

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has adopted a report on its first coordinated enforcement action involving public-sector cloud services. The report summarised actions taken by member state data protection authorities (DPAs) on cloud services and "recommendations for public sector organisations when using cloud-based products or services." 

The EDPB also adopted a report on the progress of its Cookie Banner Task Force. This report outlines where DPAs agreed on common denominators concerning the interpretation of applicable provisions under the ePrivacy Directive and the EU General Data Protection Regulation on areas such as reject buttons, pre-ticked boxes, banner design, and withdraw options.
