The 2022 Digital Consumer Trends Index from Econsultancy and relationship-marketing platform Cheetah Digital revealed the marketing preferences of 5,400 people in six countries. It identified that data privacy, protection of personal data when shared with a company, contests, loyalty programs and email marketing are the most popular tactics. However, creepy tactics, like location-based and retargeted advertisements, were unpopular with consumers.
