EU Council agree new data governance framework

On the 1st of October, the Council of the European Union agreed a negotiating mandate for the proposed Data Governance Act. The mandate creates a framework helping companies or individuals share data securely. “Successful digital transformation and achieving our climate goals depend on data-driven innovation, which relies on the availability of data. It is therefore crucial to increase trust in data sharing,” President of the Council Boštjan Koritnik said.
