G7 DPAs commit to responsible AI innovation and children's online safety

At the end of the latest two-day roundtable meeting in Alberta hosted by Philippe Dufresne, the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the G7 data protection and privacy authorities released a joint statement committing to prioritise privacy by design and the responsible use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) that supports innovation and protects children online. In a separate statement, the G7 data protection authorities agreed to engage with "experts and partner networks to foster a trusted digital environment for all."
