Preliminary approval in Meta's $725m Cambridge Analytica settlement

A US District Court Judge for the Northern District of California has granted preliminary approval to Facebook's $725 million class-action lawsuit settlement related to the 2018 Cambridge Analytica scandal. According to the plaintiff's legal representatives, who issued a statement confirming they are "pleased that the Court has preliminarily approved this historic privacy settlement of claims against Facebook and look forward to completing the approval process as quickly as possible."
