BEUC calls for European Commission to implement new AI liability rules

The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) and several technology advocacy groups sent a joint letter to the Executive Vice-president of the European Commission for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Henna Virkkunen and the European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath calling for a new AI liability proposal after the Commission withdrew the AI Liability Directive.
