NHS Trust to consult patients over sale of medical records

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust has announced that it will consult patients before selling 1.1 million medical records to a private medical company. A deal was reached with Sensyne Health last November, but no transfer of data has so far taken place. |Privacy campaigners are disputing whether the data really is anonymised and are calling the plan an "invasion of privacy".
