The move aims to target delivery riders sharing accounts with migrants who lack the legal right to work in the UK for the first 12 months or until their asylum application is approved. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper stated that this enhanced data sharing aims to close loopholes and increase enforcement against illegal working, which she claims undermines legitimate businesses and fuels organised immigration crime.
