Footballers demand compensation over misuse of personal data

A group of 850 football players are threatening legal action over rampant data collection used for performance analysis. Letters before action have been sent to 17 betting, entertainment and data collection companies demanding compensation for the last six years and to agree an annual fee for future use. In total, up to 150 companies could be misusing personal data.
