FOI mistake leads to personal data breach at School

A head teacher at Wellsway School near Bristol has apologised after a significant personal data breach resulted in the details of hundreds of pupils being mistakenly shared with two parents. The incident occurred after staff included a spreadsheet containing 86,000 lines of sensitive data in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) response. 

The incident has been reported to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
