Elton John, Prince Harry sue Daily Mail publisher over privacy breaches

Sir Elton John, the Duke of Sussex, Baroness Doreen Lawrence, along with actresses Sadie Frost and Elizabeth Hurley, have filed phone hacking cases against Associated Newspapers Ltd, the publisher of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday. The case relates to alleged surveillance activity, which includes having listening devices placed inside people's cars and homes without their knowledge. A spokesman for Associated Newspapers Ltd has described the allegations as "preposterous smears".
