Despite skepticism, emotion-tracking AI technology gaining ground

Interest in machine-learning software that can detect emotions is growing. Startups have begun including the technology, and Zoom may proceed with purchasing an artificial intelligence emotion-tracking system. Intel has also confirmed it is working with Classroom Technology to build programs that can help teachers understand whether a student is struggling with remote learning. Critics are concerned the technology could be prone to abuse.
