European privacy groups challenge Clearview AI

Privacy campaigners have filed a series of legal complaints with European regulators in the UK France, Austria, Greece, and Italy against Clearview AI. The complaints allege that the facial recognition technology provided by Clearview AI to law enforcement agencies and businesses has scraped images from websites on over 3 billion people without their knowledge or permission, which is a breach of EU data protection laws.
