Which? finds people would pay tech companies not to take their data

A survey conducted by the consumer advice publication, Which? has found people are uncomfortable about the amount of personal data collected and stored by technology companies related to online activity and devices in the home. In a 111-page report, the Value of the Choice Requirement Remedy estimates people in the UK are prepared to pay Facebook and Google £1.09 a month for greater control over how their data is used. The survey interviewed just over 4,000 users.
