The Supreme Court will hear a significant data protection appeal in the case of Lloyd v Google LLC, which came about from a "Safari Workaround" that Google implemented between 2011 and 2012. The case will be heard on the 28th and 29th April. The case is not about the claim directly but whether the complainant can bring it on behalf of those affected.
UPDATE: 290421 - The Register reports how Billions in data protection lawsuits rides on Google's last-ditch UK Supreme Court defence. Google is urging the court to throw out the case.
