Human Rights consultation and academic freedom of expression

Ahead of its submission to the Government consultation on the Human Rights Act Reform: a Modern Bill of Rights, James Murray of Mischon de Reya has published a blog about the planned reforms to freedom of speech in the context of education. Mr Murray feels the new scope is narrower than the current protections for academic freedom of speech and is restricted to matters within an academic's "field of expertise".
