Brave moves to limit bounce tracking

Brave, the privacy focussed internet browser, has developed a feature that eliminates bounce tracking, called "unlinkable bouncing." Bounce tracking is a method for websites to get around users' preferences to block third-party cookies in order to track them anyway. When a website detects its cookie cannot be set, it will redirect the user through a third-party tracking site and record the user accessing the main domain before it takes them to the website they intended to visit.
